Terms and Conditions: (please read all before submitting your booking)
Legally responsible renter(s) shall comply with all local, provincial and federal laws and regulations. It is the renters responsibility to protect themselves, guests, and vendors for each event according to the public health guidelines. Renters are responsible to ensure that all required permits and licenses are secured.
Alcohol is only permitted inside the hall and on the deck. The beach, park pavilion, park/grass, and parking lot are public spaces and and subject to the City of Vernon bylaws. It is the renters responsibility to obtain a liquor licence.
Violation of the agreement or reporting false information may result in termination of the contract forfeiture of the deposit and/or rental fee. The facility shall be used for the purpose stated in this contract and no other use is permitted. No subleases or use of the facility for other purposes.
Hall must be left in the same condition as it was found. Association representatives visits shall be permitted if deemed necessary by the board of directors.
Report any personal injuries or property damage immediately.
Maximum of 250 people according to fire regulations. The hall is best for 100 to 150 people with tables.
Paddlewheel Park Hall is a non smoking facility.
Events must be move indoors by 11:00 pm and must end by 12:00 am and cleanup is to be completed by 1:00 am.
All bookings are subject to Board approved changes.
All bookings are subject to force majeure (unforeseeable circumstances) and if the facility is impacted to the point that the event cannot occur on the scheduled date, the renter may be compensated for some of the rental fess subject to administrative costs or may reschedule for a later date. The association will not be liable for any other costs incurred by the renter for their event.
All access to the facility for preparation must be included in your rentals hours. Extra hours are $100/hour.
BBQing is not permitted in the hall or on the deck. There is a designated area for BBQs off of the main deck should you choose to bring them to your event. BBQs cannot be placed on or near any of the building or deck areas.
Cancellations policy: 120 days or more before the event: 50% of the deposit is refunded. Less than 120 days before the event: The deposit is forfeited.
At the end of the event I will complete the Exit Checklist and leave it in the kitchen with the keys. Loss if Hall Keys is billed at $100. Loss of Garbage Bin padlock is also $100.
We expect the hall to be cleaned and left in good shape. If any "additional cleaning" is required by us after you leave, you will be billed in additional to the included cleaning fee and taken from your deposit. We will detail and damages of extra cleanup required with an email and photos documenting any issues. We will contact you to let you know before we charge.
Facility must be left secure. Please lock all doors/windows, gate to deck, and dumpster lock.
